Tour Description

Just one hour from Melbourne is the picturesque Yarra Valley. Although famous for it's wines, the Yarra Valley is also home to some first-class Breweries, Cider-houses and Distilleries. This relaxed tour through one of the Australia's most beautiful regions will guide you through some truly special beverages on offer.

With an amazing choice of beers, ales, ciders, wines and spirits to try, this is a trip your taste buds will never forget. From the classic tipples of the area to more adventurous choices such as blueberry wine, you’ll certainly have plenty to taste and tell all your friends about when you return. A gourmet lunch with tastings is part of the package, and at most breweries VIP access is provided, meaning you can get a close look at the workings of the busy operation from the brewery floor. Your day is interspersed with tastings in some of the most attractive settings in the Valley, as part of a small group of no more than 13 guests.

We love to keep this tour flexible, as this allows us to mix up our itinerary to cater to seasonal beverage production, days of the week, events, traffic and the infamous Victoria weather, providing you with the best tour possible for the day that you travel with us. Below is a list of some of the locations that we can visit, and the final itinerary will be up to your talented tour guide, or Alcohol Guru, as they like to be called.

Stops include;
Napoleone Brewery & Ciderhouse (visited most days), with more than 10 different beers and ciders, and access to the brewing area.

St Ronan's Cider at Badger Creek Blueberry Winery, where you can sample ciders, ports, blueberry wine and champagnes;

Buckley's Beer, the oldest brewery in the Yarra Valley offering lagers and ales, and even kombucha.

Hargreaves Hill Brewery (visited most days), where a gourmet lunch will be served along with tasting paddles for beer and cider samples.

Coldstream Brewery, a Brew-Pub offering beer of cider and which often serves a cider cocktail;

Public Brewery, taste some beers in their relaxed beer garden;

Four Pillars Gin Distillery (visited on limited days), where you can sample award-winning varieties of gin.

Riders Brewing Co & Kellybrothers cider at Kellybrook winery, a family owned venture offering ciders, beers and calvados (apple brandy).

Watts River Brewing: When White Rabbit moved from the Yarra Valley to Geelong, it made us very sad, but two of their brewers stayed behind to open this brewery offering some great beer.

A relaxed format ensures the day is never rushed, with the group (min 6, max 13 people) only moving on at a leisurely pace between locations. Your guide will be a jovial host and a fountain of knowledge on all things beer and wine in the region.

This tour is renowned for the enjoyable atmosphere among guests, and is the best way to soak up the superb natural surroundings of the Yarra Valley, while sampling some of the best beverages the region has to offer at your own pace.

We believe that our tastings are very generous, and passengers may end up drinking the equivalent of at least 4 full-size drinks throughout the day through samples. We encourage you to have fun, but require that you do so in a safe and comfortable manner for your fellow travellers.
