Tour Description
On the tour you will snorkel in one of Queensland most diverse marine eco systems. See Dory (Sturgeonfish), Nimo (Clown Fish), coloured parrotfish and others. If snorkelling is not your thing, you can kayak around the wrecks.
Moreton Island is the world’s third largest sand island, it is 38 kms long (uninterrupted surf beach) and 10kms wide (widest point). It has several fresh water lakes where the water is crystal clear. It is here that you will find the world’s highest coastal sand dune. Imagine the speed you reach flying down that one!
In the morning you travel on the beach and along Middle Road, seeing the natural beauty of this place. Next it is time for fun & adventure, try your hand at sand board or tobogganing. Experienced or crazy people may reach speeds of 50 km/h! Time to relax for lunch on the beach or go for a walk. After lunch it is time for a snorkel or kayak around the famous shipwrecks, 15 in total and only 50 metres from the beach. After all this you will be ready to head home back across Moreton Bay.
I think you are getting the picture, you must visit this unique island, it is only a 75-minute ferry trip from the Port of Brisbane.
Please note: Snorkelling is subject to tide & weather conditions & may change without notice. The operator reserves the rights to change the activities for safety reasons.
